One Health Clubs Fitness Instructor is Gunning for Gold

The countdown is on for One Health Clubs’ own Tania Atkin competing in the WBFF FITNESS ATLANTIC USA CHAMPIONSHIPS @fitnessatlantic on April 29th, 2017.

Tania is one of our expert Group Fitness Instructors specializing in Pilates and Athletic Training classes. She has been part of the ‘grandfathered’ Fitness Institute – Mississauga Club for over 20 years!!

For Tania, fitness and health have been a lifelong pursuit. She began in gymnastics, before discovering the joys and challenges of competitive fitness competition; competing in Ms. Fitness Canada on multiple occasions. Tania followed that up with a foray into adventure racing. Never being one to do something half way, she became a competitive racer; earning a corporate sponsorship from athletic shoe company Brooks Sports Inc.After taking a few years off to pursue other career, health, and wellness goals, Tania made her comeback début on Stage at the 2016 SAF (Serious About Fitness) Competition in Gatineau Quebec.

Now, this 45-years young, mother of two has been working towards bringing an incredible package to the WBFF Atlantic 2017 stage. Her goal is to turn her 3rd place WBFF 2016 World Fitness Diva +35 title to a PRO CARD.

She has been working her butt off and is ready to hit the stage @fitnessatlantic April 29th @wbff_official and is super excited to showcase all of her hard work.

To make this moment even more special, Tania’s husband and One Health Club Member, Nathan Atkin will be competing for the very first time on the WBFF stage in Boston June 25th, 2017.  A special note from Tania to the Women of Fitness and the 2017 Competitive Season:

“Be humble, grateful and authentic…be beautiful for yourself, not just for the judges, the photographers or anyone else. Stay within your moral framework, always!! Think before you post something on social media…who will it affect? What image are you seeking? ‘Know your worth’ as Paul Dillet @paul_dillett once said … Keep your look timeless, natural, classic, strong, feminine and sexy.

Eating and training comes down to science… They are the easier part of fitness to navigate, but managing the emotions, anxieties and behaviours are much more complicated, so integrate mindfulness into your competition prep or fitness lifestyle.

Stop being so hard on yourself! Set realistic goals, then be a visionary and then let go of the overthinking…don’t let your goals strangle you each day….it will come, I promise!!! But YOU have to make it happen. No one else will make it happen for YOU.
