6 Steps to Starting Your Day Right

Have you ever woken up on the wrong side of the bed? Better yet, have you ever had something go wrong first thing in the morning and then the rest of your day is shot? It doesn’t have to be that way! We’ve got your back. With these six simple steps, you can start your day right, get more done and have all good days.

1. Wake up early

Waking up early is actually a great way to start your day right. I know it sounds counter intuitive, waking up early cuts into your sleeping time. We recommend reading “The 5am Club” by Robin Sharma. It’s such an eye-opening read! If we all started our days a little bit earlier, we would get so much more done.

2. Create a gratitude list every morning

Starting the day with some positivity is a big game changer. We recommend thinking of 5 things you’re grateful for when you first wake up. It’s so much more powerful to think of the things you have, instead of the things you don’t have.

3. Workout

Starting your day with something to get your blood flowing is amazing! You’ll feel so good. Start with a yoga class, or a strength training workout and start your day with the ultimate power! We have many early morning classes for you to attend.

4. Eat a healthy breakfast

We’ve all heard breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And it is! Everyone is different, there are so many options for you. Sometimes it’s more helpful to have a helping hand show you the ropes. We want you to start out right, you can set up an appointment with one of our amazing nutritionists at your One Health Clubs location.

5. Drink warm water with lemon and ACV

We are huge believers in the power of apple cider vinegar here! Have you heard about all of the benefits? Not only is it great at boosting your metabolism, it also has a heap of other benefits including; being high in acetic acid, kills many types of harmful bacteria, lowers blood sugar levels, reduces belly fat and lowers your cholesterol! Can we get a heck yes?!

6. Avoid your phone until after you brush your teeth

This is a simple practice. Looking at your phone and checking your emails etc. first thing in the morning does nothing other than create distractions and can lead you to start your day on a negative note. So keep a bit of a detox going for your phone in the early morning!
