Green Tea Smoothie Recipe

Not only is it delicious, there are also numerous health benefits to drinking green tea.

Green tea is loaded with antioxidants, and we all need a good daily dose of antioxidants – those lovely molecules that help cleanse our bodies from the inside out.

Thanks to its gentle fermentation process, green tea is rich in the natural antioxidants and flavonoids that kill free radicals – the molecules that damage your cells.

Another great benefit of green tea is that it contains theanine; an amino acid found in green tea leaves which has a calming effect on the mind. It can help with mental relaxation and help reduce anxiety.

Green tea is derived from the leaves of the Camellia Sinensis plant, and comes in several varieties.

It can be enjoyed hot, cold, or as part of this delicious and nutritious smoothie.

Green Tea Smoothie Recipe

(makes: 1)


1 ½ cups steeped green tea
1 to 1 ½ cups baby spinach
1 lemon, juiced
½ avocado
1 small banana
½ cup frozen blueberries
1 scoop collagen or protein powder


1. Brew up 1 ½ cups green tea and steep for 3 minutes.

2. Place tea in the freezer for the time being.

3. In a blender add all ingredients above and the cooled green tea.

4. Blend for 45 seconds until all ingredients are smooth.

5. Pour into glass and ENJOY!!
