LOST A COMBINED 65lbs IN 5 MONTHS

This power couple made the commitment to their health and fitness and their fitness journey together, over the last 6 months, has turned into unbelievable RESULTS!

Cathy, a busy professional, active in sport (softball and volleyball), slowly over the years started to gain a pound here and there which started to add up. She made the decision it was time to take back her body and health and that is when she joined One Health Clubs with her husband Jason.

In as little as 5 months, Cathy lost 43lbs and went down almost 11% in body fat!

Jason, a not so active professional, blew out his right knee in 2013 doing Jiu-Jitsu and never quite recovered from his injury. He was looking to fix his knee, be active again and reclaim his youth (mid-life crisis).

In as little as 5 months, Jason lost 22 lbs and went down 6% body fat!

This power couple has been crushing it for the last 6 months and look forward to each and every workout! They train twice a week with One Health Clubs Personal Trainer, Laura Iosue and come in to the Club another couple times a week and workout on their own.

Their Personal Trainer Laura had this to say about Jason and Cathy:

“In the 6 months that I’ve been training Cathy and Jason, I have watched their confidence and skill level grow through the roof! I started them on a beginner program of machines and free weights while they learned new movement patterns and gained a base level of strength.

With the help of Athlete’s Care, we were able to rehabilitate Jason’s old knee injury! Jason started from body weight squats not being possible without pain, to loading up back squats with great form! Cathy, can now do LUNGES with a bar on her back, when in the beginning, body weight required assistance.

Among so many other new feats of strength, athleticism and body re-composition, the reason why they have achieved such amazing results so far is they have been dedicated from day one. They have never missed a single training session or solo workout. They show up, give it their all and then ask for more. I’m very proud of the success they have had so far and I’m looking forward to continuing this journey with them!” – Laura Iosue

 

We sat down with Jason and Cathy and they had this to share with us about their fitness journey so far and how joining the Club has impacted their lives.

How do you feel from when you started to where you are now?

Cathy: “I feel great! I have more energy and I am always excited about working out. I crave the exercise and the time at One Health whereas in the beginning, it was difficult. I’m always excited to see what Laura has planned for us!”

Jason: “I feel like a completely different person now! I have more energy than I ever had. I don’t have any aches and pains from just getting up in the morning like I used to. I feel like I can take on anything now!”

What is something you can do now, outside of the gym, that you could not do before?

Cathy: “Get up a flight of stairs with ease, longer walks and bike rides. Running bases in softball, I’m now faster and my overhand serves in volleyball are stronger”.

Jason: “Spike and block playing indoor volleyball. I can do more chores around the house and in the yard without feeling various aches and pains. And now I always take the stairs wherever I go now instead of elevators!”

How does having a Personal Trainer change your decisions on a day-to-day basis outside of the gym?

Cathy: “Having targets, such as cardio of 150 minutes per week, helped me to be more active on a day-to-day basis so I can get the most out of my time with Laura when I am training.”

Jason: “I am more aware of the decisions I make surrounding food, leisure activities and the amount of sleep I get. With Laura’s guidance over the months, I better understand how good and bad decisions affect my energy level, training results and mood. Now, I always strive to make good decisions on a day-to-day basis”.

How has being a member at One Health Clubs impacted your life?

Cathy: “It has totally changed my life! Going to One Health, being active and being healthy are the main priorities in my life now.”

Jason: “Being a member at One Health Clubs and working with Laura has drastically improved my quality of life! The positive energy and motivation from everyone at One Health carries over into every day now. Whereas, earlier in our training it seemed like more of a chore to spend a few hours a week working out.

What is your advice to the struggling member?

Cathy: “Get a workout buddy!!”

Jason: “Just keep showing up! It WILL pay off in the long run!”
