Recipe of the Week: Detox Green Smoothie

Detox never tasted so great! Blending together kale or spinach for the micronutrients, cucumber and celery for the cleansing benefits and chia + spirulina to draw out toxins gives this smoothie so much detoxing power!

You will love the addition of banana and pineapple – because you won’t taste the other ingredients!

Ingredients (serves 2)

1.5 cups kale, de-stemmed or baby spinach
1/2 English cucumber, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 small lemon, peel and seeds removed
1 ripe banana, frozen
1 cup pineapple (frozen)
2 tablespoons chia seeds
½ teaspoon spirulina powder
1 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 cup cold, filtered water

Instructions

Blend all ingredients together on high speed for 45 seconds until smooth.
